The Electronics and Informatics Education Programme provides modules / courses that must be completed to achieve a master education level. These courses are organized into curriculum structure. The courses of the curriculum are categorized as follows:
- Expertise Foundation Courses (EFC). EFC is a compulsory subject that provides a foundation of expertise in accordance with the study program or field of expertise. These courses are offered and managed by the UNY Postgraduate Program. EFC has a weight of 7 credits, consisting of 3 courses namely Philosophy of Science (2 credits), Statistics (2 credits) and Educational Research Methodology (3 credits).
- Expertise Courses (EC). EC is a compulsory subject that forms study program expertise. EC has a weight of 23 credits which are distributed into 9 subjects. In the EC group, there is a Thesis course. This course is intended to equip postgraduate students with the ability to conduct research and write scientific papers in their fields based on research results. This course is also intended to meet the requirements of INQF level 8.
- Concentration Courses. The study program provides 3 courses for each field of specialization, namely the Electronic Engineering Education concentration (6 credits) and the Information Engineering Education concentration (6 credits).
- Elective Courses. The students can take these courses freely. Each student can take 4 credits from the 16 credits offered in the elective courses.
- Study Ability of Additional Expertise. In addition to the 40 compulsory credits, students can take additional courses of up to four (4) credits outside the study program but inside the university to strengthen competence (based on UNY Curriculum Development Handbook 2019).
- Matriculation Courses. Matriculation contains prerequisite courses as an additional subject to equalize the competence of students before joining the education program at UNY. These subjects are provided for students who come from non-educational universities.
