The EIE Programme held a Visiting Professor Programs from 24 to 30 October 2019. The guest lecturer invited to this visiting professor activity was Dr. Elizabeth Hartnell-Young from The University of Melbourne. This activity was attended by EIE students class of 2018. Topics discussed on this visiting professor included:

1. Engaging Learners: theories and models of engagement
2. Engaging university teachers in design thinking
3. Instructional Design: Developing Technology Integration Plans and storyboards
4. Teaching and Instruction Technologies
5. Media knowledge and skills: what do you already know and what do you need to learn?
6. Developing instructional activities
7. Technology-mediated communication
8. Technology-based instructional enhancements
9. Online instructional resources

This activity was held in two sessions in one day. The first session was delivered through lectures, observations and discussions. Meanwhile, the second session which was held after lunch was carried out with active learning. This activity is expected to increase student perspectives and provide a different learning experience.
